Welcome to week 4 Honouring
This week we are going to practice an extra gentleness with ourselves.
We are going to take some space to honour just how brave we have been so far.
Its not easy to show up for yourself…..You are here and you are doing it!
This is also the time in any course where we all need a little extra energy and a push!

Exercises
My Love Letter…..To Myself
This weeks exercise is all about honouring our brave hearts…
Taking a moment to write down some things that we are learning to love about ourselves and our experience through writing.
We are going to write a Love letter to ourselves. Let’s start small.
Identify the top 8 qualities you love about yourself (I am kind, I am generous, I love animals, I am understanding, I am strong)
For each quality write down how these attributes have helped, or benefited you (My strength has benefited me through my life by allowing me to stand up for what I believe in. It has kept me safe in times of struggle) feel free to keep this as short as you want to.
As I was working through this exercise I was really able to let loose and allow the words to fly.
Note several ways to honour the qualities (I can honour my strength by acknowledging how hard it is to be strong and that sometimes its ok to show my softer side and allow my strength time to breathe, I honour my strength for how it has protected me)

Make a Gift of inheritance
This weeks second exercise is to think of someone who is very special to your heart and gift them a piece of your work.
Make sure the person you are going to gift a piece of your writing to is open to receive it
A Trusted Friend Or Partner Or Family Member is best
Write what comes from your heart
It can be a love letter to them
It can be a letter of honouring them
It can be a letter of appreciation
It can be about a favourite spot
About a place you both enjoy
Open your heart to the idea that a little piece of your writing could make someones day
You are then going to honour this piece by giving it to them like you would an inheritance
You gift them the full rights
There is something really special when you gift a piece of your work in this way
It becomes its own energy….more than the sum of its parts
I have been thinking a lot about my writing and who I’d like to entrust it to when I am no longer able to write
Its fascinating to think that whatever we make as original works, we are able to gift them to people to protect for us.
It’s a big deal and one that I would like to dive deeper into
“If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.”
