Did you know

That you’re allowed

To feel everything

Inside

Lots of times

We are told

To hide our

Darker side

Living in light

Is easier

Some refuse

To be

Bothered with

The dark emotions

On the inside

Seen

Because we get

Uncomfortable

When the dark abounds

We think that

In the darker parts

No light can be found

And that’s not

Really true

There’s not one without the other

Light cannot

Survive without a

Darker cover

So celebrate the parts

In shadow

And the bright ones too

Light and dark

Both have a place

Loved inside of you
